Cameron Road is one of Tauranga City’s main city arterial routes, connecting people across the city. Cameron Road is an important route with schools, businesses, and the hospital located along it.
As Tauranga continues to grow, Cameron Road will become more important than ever. RZG Construction is proud to help deliver critical upgrades to Cameron Road, to contribute to our city’s future.
RZG Construction was engaged by Fulton Hogan to install all stormwater treatment devices and reticulation, and all sewer mains.
The Cameron Road upgrades have required our team to navigate multiple challenges, including working to tight timeframes, working across multiple areas in the construction site, managing a high volume of traffic and pedestrians, and working around live services.
Sustainably was also a top priority for this project, with a plan in place to separate and recycle waste wherever possible.
With our extensive three waters experience, and our expertise at working in challenging and busy environments, we were able to successfully navigate these challenges to deliver on-time, to budget, and to an incredibly high standard.
With careful planning and collaboration with our client, designers and stakeholders, we were able to develop best-for-project solutions that enabled us to deliver our work safely, effectively, and efficiently.
Key deliverables include:
- Clearing existing pavements, kerbing, and concrete footpaths, while finding opportunities to recycle waste wherever possible
- Installing deep wastewater and stormwater of various diameters
- Managing significant volume of traffic and pedestrians
